If you have just started your search for a sintered mesh, you will soon find that you have a lot of different choices on hand. One of the first options you will have to choose is what kind of mesh weave you would like. For example, here at Lawrence Sintered Metals, we offer plain wire mesh weaves, twilled waves, Dutch weaves, twilled Dutch weaves, reverse Dutch weaves, and more.
What are the differences between all of these weaves, and why are those differences important?
The type of weave you choose will determine many of the characteristics of the sintered mesh and can greatly help or hinder your goal. For instance, a plain weave is the simplest type of weave. It is strong, but not as strong as a twill square weave or a twilled Dutch weave. Both a twill square weave and a twilled Dutch weave will also provide finer filtration than just a plain weave.
If you aren’t sure which type of sintered mesh weave is right for your project, don’t worry! Give us a call and let us know more about your project, and one of our technicians will be glad to recommend the ideal mesh weave for your job!
